Initially, the company was involved in the manufacturing of synthetic yarn machines. After years in that business, it became a public limited company and diversified into processing synthetic yearn in the same year. After 6 years, it entered into a technical collaboration with Italian two-wheeler giant Piaggio wherein a scooter project was set up between the two companies. After nearly a decade of collaboration, the first scooter LML Select came out in the year 1993.
